Shipbuilding is a craft that endures. We build vessels that sail for decades — made by a team that sticks together.
We have been building on the water in Derben since 1861. Anyone who joins us does not work on mass-produced goods — but on individual vessels that exist only once.
We are a family business in its sixth generation — short paths, plain words, responsibility from the very start. From cutting and section assembly through to the trial run, you see what your hands have made.
Here real shipbuilding craft meets modern technology: we design in 3D CAD and build in two covered halls with cranes and powerful welding equipment, plus a hall of our own for aluminium and stainless steel. So you learn both — the craft grown over six generations and the propulsion systems of tomorrow, from hybrid to the purely electric motor.

Learn a craft with a future
We train apprentices — and are glad to keep them on. Pay is based on the collective agreement; new apprenticeship places are available again for the next training year.
