A Range Rover goes aboard the MS SUNliner
Unusual cargo on board: by crane and lifting gear, a Range Rover Sport SV floated over the open deck of the MS SUNliner — and was staged in the middle of the passenger saloon. We were especially pleased that the SUNliner, of all vessels, provided the stage: we built the vessel in 2017 as the XL variant of our AquaCabrio concept for Donauschifffahrt Wurm + Noé in Passau and converted it to purely electric propulsion in 2022.
Where guests normally enjoy their three-rivers round trip on the Danube, Inn and Ilz, an SUV weighing more than two tonnes stood that day. The Range Rover Sport SV is no ordinary off-road vehicle but the performance flagship of the range — a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 with 635 hp, here in a matt shimmering red paint finish.
The event was organised and staged by AutoCenter Wimmer from Passau. Our thanks for the trust placed in our SUNliner as a floating stage — on the water the red SV certainly cuts at least as fine a figure as it does on land.
We support the Derben BBQ club
As a family business from Derben, community life in the village matters to us — which is why we support the Derben BBQ club.
On 27 June 2026 the club invited everyone to Derben BBQ & Beer at the Derben anglers’ club house — including a barbecue championship. Good to see that so many joined in.
The Derben kindergarten pays a visit
On 17 April the Derben kindergarten was our guest. The children looked around the shipyard site, marvelled at a newbuilding from close up and brought plenty of questions with them. The next generation of shipbuilders is best introduced early — perhaps one or two future shipbuilders are already standing in our photo.
Power from our own hall roof
There is now a photovoltaic system of around 120 kWp on the hall roof, together with battery storage of around 90 kWh — our own electricity for welding equipment, cranes and compressed air.
