Newbuilding, conversion and repair run under one roof here — with the same people, the same welding technology and the same standard with which we have been building vessels for six generations. From a crack in the hull to ageing on-board systems: we repair what is meant to sail again. And if the repair is to become a modernisation, it continues seamlessly at conversion & restoration or with the retrofit of hybrid and electric propulsion.

Right on the water, at the heart of the waters
Our shipyard lies on the Parey canal, which connects the Elbe with the Elbe-Havel canal — reachable under your own power from the Elbe waters as well as from the Havel and Berlin waters. Work is carried out in two covered building halls, each 50 metres long and 18 metres wide, with cranes and modern welding technology. There is also a separate hall for stainless steel work, two outfitting quays and our own slipway for vessels up to 75 metres, from which 258 newbuildings have been launched since 1990.

Steel and aluminium work with welding approval according to DNV, maintenance of hull, superstructure and on-board systems as well as the modernisation of entire installations — up to the retrofit of hybrid and electric propulsion.
Which waterways give access to the shipyard?
The shipyard lies on the Parey canal near Derben, which connects the Elbe with the Elbe-Havel canal. That makes us reachable under your own power from the Elbe waters as well as via the Elbe-Havel canal from the Havel and Berlin waters.
How large may a vessel be for your shipyard?
Our slipway takes vessels up to 75 metres in length. Work is carried out in two covered building halls of 50 × 18 metres each, plus a separate hall for stainless steel work and two outfitting quays. Whether your vessel fits is quickest to settle over the telephone.
Do you offer winter storage for leisure boats?
No. We are a shipyard for commercially operated vessels — passenger and restaurant vessels, work and government vessels, barges and pontoons. Winter storage for leisure boats is not part of what we offer.
Does the shipyard also carry out larger conversions?
Yes. When maintenance is to become a modernisation — from the interior fit-out to a complete change of propulsion — it continues at conversion, restoration & refit. One example is the comprehensively modernised Fridericus Rex.
Who does Schiffswerft Bolle work for?
For shipping companies and passenger shipping — such as Prague Boats and the Weiße Flotte Potsdam — as well as for waterways and shipping authorities and companies in hydraulic engineering.
