Fridericus Rex
The second life of a historic passenger vessel — carefully modernised, and back in service evening after evening.
The Fridericus Rex is a historic passenger vessel of the Weiße Flotte Potsdam that we overhauled and modernised completely. At 30 metres long and only 4.40 metres wide, she is one of the slender vessels of the Havel — laid out for up to 60 guests.
The technology and safety equipment were brought up to current standards and the interior fit-out was redesigned — saloon, bar and washrooms. The character of the vessel was preserved in the process: wood, brass and the classic line of a saloon ship from another era.
Today she is sailing again — evening after evening, for many more seasons to come. An example of how we create something new from what already exists.
