Schlei Princess
A paddle-wheel vessel for the Schlei — Mississippi looks with modern hydraulics, a three-zone layout and an on-board galley.
The Schlei Princess has been sailing the Schlei between Schleswig and the Baltic since 2014. Her paddle wheel is not decoration: it is hydraulically driven and propels the 43.75-metre vessel with up to 250 guests on board.
Inside, the Schlei Princess is divided into three zones — fully air-conditioned, with an on-board galley and a restaurant area that suits day trips as well as evening events. The white-and-red styling with funnels and filigree work recalls the classic paddle steamers.
She was built in Derben for Reisedienst Gerda Müller in Schleswig — Zone 4 under the German inland vessel inspection regulations, designed for the Schlei with its changing water levels.
